At Sperling Saddles my primary goal is to ensure that your horse has the best fitted saddle to allow for freedom of movement without compromise, and for you as the rider to feel at one with your horse. I offer a range of new saddles that I feel will cover all horses needs - whether you like to dance, prance, frolic or prefer the quieter life there's a saddle for you.
Get to Know Me
Sperling Saddles Limited was established during the pandemic of 2020. Becoming an independent saddle fitter was something I always intended to do and this gave me the opportunity to take the leap and start making a difference to the comfort and performance of horses and riders.​
I am a fully qualified Master Saddle Fitter. I trained through the Society of Master Saddlers in 2015, became a Master Saddle Fitter in 2024, and am now well into my 10th year of fitting saddles. No matter how unique or challenging your horse is, you can count on me to find the right solution for you both. Off the shelf or made to measure new saddle(s).
A saddle fitting to order a new saddle. Prior to your appointment we will discuss your saddle preferences in order to create a selection to bring on the day. I start with a static assessment to measure your horse and discuss the best models to try. This is followed by you test-riding in the short listed saddles to find the optimum saddle for you and your horse. When purchasing your new saddle, we ensure all details are simple, seamless and handled in a timely manner. Please see my services page for more information.
Maintenance and repairs of current saddle(s).
A routine saddle fitting for maintenance of your current saddle or saddles to ensure they are still fitting correctly and comfortable for you and your horse. Any necessary adjustments or repairs can be made on-site, or taken back to my base if necessary. A static assessment is carried out and then followed by a ridden assessment.
